The beach at the Island Beach State Park (Bathing Beach Nr. 1)  is a pretty wide sandy beach. The sandy beach exists along the whole Atlantic Coast of this peninsula. At the Island Beach State Park, there are various beach accesses. If your staying in Atlantic City, it is a nice day trip to visit the Island Beach State Park and spend a day at this beautiful beach.

Directions to the beach at the Island Beach SP:
From Garden State Parkway turn east on New Jersey State Route 37. The New Jersey State Route 37 is also known as Little League World Champions Boulevard. At Seaside Heights turn south on New Jersey State Route 35, also known as SW Central Avenue. This road leads directly to the Island Beach State Park.

Entrance Fee / Parking Fee at the Island Beach SP:
-  $6.- weekends / $10.- workdays
   (from Memorial Day weekend till Labour Day)
- $5.- (the rest of the year)
- Fee for passanger cars. No entrance fee for bikers
   and pedestrians.
