Beach Overview of Soth Carolinas Beaches at the Atlantic Coast from the north to the south:

Myrtle Beach (11th Avenue beach access):
The beach at the city of Myrtle Beach consists of very fine sand. A few small shells and parts of shells are lying in the sand of this beach. A shower is provided at the beach access at the 11th Avenue in Myrtle Beach. The parking space at this beach access is extremely limited. The parking fee at the parking meter is one Quarter (25 Cent) for 12 minutes (as at: Mai 2010). Free parking spaces for hotel guests are provided at some of the hotels. Myrtle Beach State Park:
The beach at the Myrtle Beach State Park consists of a very fine sand with a few small shells. Showers, foot showers, restrooms, grills and a campground are provided at this beach. Airplanes are flying over this beach when they are approaching the local airport. The entrance fee at the Myrtle Beach State Park is $5.-. The entrance fee for residents of South Carolina is $3.- (as at: Mai 2010). The entrance fee is valid for all State Parks in South Carolina that are visited at the same day. Surfside Beach:
A very fine leveled beach is located at the Surfside Beach. Showers, restrooms and a Fishing Pier are provided at this beach. A parking fee is charged at the small parking lot. The parking fee is $1.- per hour. The minimum parking fee at the Surfside Beach is $1.- (as at: Mai 2010). The beach and the parking lot are located next to the Days Hotel at Surfside City.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Garden City:
At Gartden City, there is a fine sandy beach. A few small shells are lying at the sand. Showers and a pier are provided at the beach in Garden City. A limited number of parking spaces is available at the beach in Garden City (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Huntington Beach State Park:
A fine sandy beach is located at the Huntington Beach State Park. Showers, foot showers, grills, a campground and restrooms are provided at this beach. The entrance fee at the Huntington Beach State Park is $5.-. The entrance fee for residents of South Carolina is $3.- (as at: Mai 2010). The entrance fee is valid for all State Parks in South Carolina that are visited at the same day. Fort Moultrie:
At the other side of the bay at Charleston, there is  Fort Moultrie National Monument. On the left side of Fort Moultrie, there is a  trail that leads to a white sandy beach. From the Beach you can see Fort Sumter. Free parking posibilities and restrooms are provided at the Visitor Center of Fort Moultrie National Monument (as at: Mai 2009). There are no showers and restrooms at the beach.

 

 

 

 

 

Folly Beach:
The sandy beach at Folly Beach is a popular beach. At the sand of the beach, there are some shells, parts of shells and some parts of plants. The parking space is extremeley limited. Parking spaces are even during the workweek rare. Free parking spaces are available at the side roads. A parking fee of $5.- is charged at the parking lot of the pier and $1.- per hour at the small parking lot at the intersection of 3rd Street East and East Arctic Avenue (as at: Mai 2010). Edisto Beach State Park:
At the sandy beach of the Edisto Beach State Park, there are a few shells and washed up parts of plants. Showers, Grills, restrooms and a campground are provided.  The entrance fee at the Edisto Beach State Park is $5.-. The entrance fee for residents of South Carolina is $3.- (as at: Mai 2010). The entrance fee is valid for all State Parks in South Carolina that are visited at the same day. Hunting Island State Park:
At the sand of the Huntington Island State Park, there are a few parts of shells and parts of plants. The beach at the Hunting Island State Park is located next to a forest. The forest is situated west of the beach of the Huntington Island State Park. Because of the forest, there’s a lot of shade in the afternoon. During high tide, the water almost reaches the forest (at some areas of the beach). During low tide, the beach becomes extremely wide. The entrance fee at the Hunting Island Beach State Park is $5.-. The entrance fee for residents of South Carolina is $3.- (as at: Mai 2010). The entrance fee is valid for all State Parks in South Carolina that are visited at the same day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hilton Head Island:
A parking fee is charged at the parking meter at the Hilton Head Island. The number of parking spaces is extremely limited (as at: April 2010). Some parking spots are located at the Woodward Avenue, next to the Marriott Hotel. Showers and restrooms are provided at the beach at the Hilton Head Island.
