Beach Overview of New Yorks Beaches at the Lake Erie from the west to the east:

Lake Erie State Park:
The Lake Erie State Park is located about 7 miles south of the city limit of the city of Dunkirk. Lots of stones are lying at the beach at the Lake Erie State Park. The beach is closed in 2010. A playground, grills and cabins (that can be rented) are provided at the Lake Erie State Park. Point Gratiot Park:
Point Gratiot Park is located southwest of the city of Dunkirk. Stones and wood are lying in the sand of this beach. A playground, grills and restrooms are provided at the Point Gratiot Park. The road at the Point Gratiot Park is a one way road. This road can only be driven from the south to the north. No entrance fee and no parking fee is charged at the Point Gratiot Park (as at: Mai 2010). Point Gratiot Park The Dunkirk Lighthouse is situated north of the Point Gratiot Park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dunkirk (Wright Park Beach at the Lake Erie):
A small sandy beach is situated at the city of Dunkirk. This beach is situated at the banks of Lake Erie. There are only a few parking spots. There is no parking fee (as at: Mai 2009). No restrooms or showers are available. This beach is mainly used by the citizens of Dunkirk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Evangola State Park:
The Evangola State Park is located south of the city of Buffalo. Grills, a playground, restrooms and a campground are provided at the Evangola State Park. An entrance fee is charged during the season. During the workweek the entrance fee is $6.- and during the weekends and holidays the entrance fee is $7.- (as at: Mai 2010) at the Evangola State Park.

The Lakeside Beach State Park is located northeast of the city of Niagara Falls. Swimming and bathing is not allowed at this beach. A campground, grills, a playground and restrooms are provided at the Lakeside Beach State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $6.- (as at: Mai 2010) at the Lakeside Beach State Park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hamlin Beach State Park:
Small stones are lying in the sand of the Hamlin Beach State Park. A campground, grills, a playground and restrooms are provided at this beach. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $6.- (as at: Mai 2010) at the Hamlin Beach State Park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fair Haven State Park:
A few small stones are lying at the sand of the beach at the Fair Haven State Park. Swimming is allowed in the marked area, as long as a lifeguard is on duty. A campground, a boat rental and a bike rental are situated at the Fair Haven State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- (as at: Mai 2010) at the Fair Haven State Park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Selkirk Shores State Park:
The beach at the Selkirk Shores State Park consists of pebble stones. In 2010, swimming and bathing is not allowed at this beach. Restrooms, grills and a campground are provided at this beach. An entrance fee resp. a parking fee is charged at the Selkirk Shores State Park. The fee is $6.- (as at: Mai 2010). The fee is charged from June 19 till Labour Day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sandy Island State Park:
At the Sandy Island State Park, there are a few small stones lying in the sand of the beach. Swimming is only allowed as long as a lifeguard is on duty. Grills and restrooms are provided at this beach. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $7.- (as at: Mai 2010) at the Sandy Island State Park. Southwick Beach State Park:
The beach at the Southwick Beach State Park consists of fine sand with a few parts of small shells and a few small stones. A playground, a campground, grills and restrooms are provided. Westcott Beach State Park:
At the beach of the Westcott Beach State Park, there are small stones and parts of washed up plants lying in the sand. A campground, a playground and restrooms are provided at this beach.
