Beach Overview of the beaches at the Eastern Coast of Kauai from the north to the south:

Donkey Beach (Kumukumu Beach): A short trail leads to the Donkey Beach resp. the Kumukumu Beach at Kauais East Coast. The trailhead is at the parking
lot. Restrooms are only provided at the parking lot. Washed up parts of wood are lying in the sand at the Donkey Beach. Parking is extremely limited at the small parking lot. No parking fee and no
entrance fee is charged at the parking lot of the Donkey Beach (as at: August 2011).

Kealia Beach: A picturesque beach is located at the Kealia Beach. Lifeguards, benches and tables are provided at this beach. Warning signs inform about

Kapaa Beach Park: The beach at the Kapaa Beach Park is rather small and situated next to the library of the city of Kapaa. Warningsigns warn about

Wailua Hotel Beach (Aston Islander on the Beach): This beach is located next to the Aston Islander on the Beach Hotel in the city of Wailua . The
beach is rather small and warning signs inform that it is too dangerous to swim at this beach. The beach access and the parking lot is reserved for the guests of the Aston Islander on the Beach Hotel. No
fee is charged for the use of the beach. Hotel guests get a parking permit sign (at no charge) that must be displayed at the dashboard (as at: August 2011).

Wailua Beach: The beach at the Wailua Beach is not very pretty and located next to the road. Restrooms are provided at this beach. The parking lot is

Lydgate State Park: The beach at the Lydgate Park belongs to the largest beaches at the East Coast of Kauai. Lifeguards, showers, restrooms, a campground,

Hanamaulu Beach Park: The beach at the Hanamaulu Beach Park is frequented by locals. Tourists mostly prefere other beaches in Kauai. Restrooms,
grills, tables, a playground and water tabs are provided at the Hanamaulu Beach Park. No entrance fee and no parking fee is charged at the Hanamauu Beach Park (as at: August 2011).

Kalapaki Park: The beach at the Kalapaki Park is located in the city of Lihue. Showers are provided at the beach promenade of the Kalapaki Park.
Hotels are also located near the beach. Parking is extremely limited at this beach. Parking space is also available at the shops that are located near the Kalapaki Beach. These parking spots are
reserved for customers of the stores (as at: August 2011).
